The 2006 Baby Olympics

Well, in the past three days, 2/26 through 2/28, Ethan has taken it to the next level in a couple of events. First we have the Laugh. Though it seems like a simplistic event, few will truly conquer it. Ethan was a little rough around the edges at the start of the event, probably due to lack of quality entertainment, but managed to pull through in the end. The judges gave him all 10's. Click "The Big Laugh" below to see previously recorded footage of the event.

Our second event in the 2006 Baby Olympics is the Rice Capades. I've got to say, I was very impressed with Ethan's performance in this event. We really thought that the United States would not be represented very well this year due to the unfortunate Rice accident during the training season of last year that involved a pair of three-toed sloths and a dry well in Singapore. Luckily Ethan Hartzog stepped up. If you remember he actually didn't make it through the preliminary qualifying due to a miscommunication involving his arrival date. After today's showing, and I think you at home will agree, he has obviously recovered. Admittedly his technique is slightly flawed and rough around the edges but his attitude more than makes up for it. And this kid has attitude! Pay close attention to how he subtly blows it back into the face of the judges, as if to say "In your face, Judges!"

Finally, the last and final event of the Olympics. This one is always a crowd favorite, gymnastics - the tumbling event. Really there's just not much to say about this one. Ethan's months of dedication and mastery of technique truly speak for themselves. Take a look.

That's it, thanks for checking back in!!!!!!!!

I give him the Gold in every event. He has such a sweet and fun personality just like his parents! Jeremy, if animal impersonations were in the olympics...you win Gold hands down!
