We went to the Gwinnett County Fair last week with our friends Dustin, Erin and Rylan Mattox. This was a first for the Hartzogs. Although we didn't get to ride much, we had a great time. The kids have to be at least 36 inches to ride most all the rides. Ethan needs about one more year and then it'll be on full blast. However, we did find this one amusing exhibit. It was not a ride, just a car to sit in and let me tell you, Ethan and Rylan thought this was the greatest thing of the night!

After driving the car, the petting zoo was a big hit. Ethan was interested for a while and then his attention turned to the bark chips that we were walking on so we had to get him out of there. He is all boy!! Always wanting to get on the ground, get dirty and rub his hands in dirt...pine straw...bark chips...you name it! Before we lost his interest, here he is checking out the bunny.
First time petting a bunny rabbit. Ethan calls it a "raddit"
Ethan and Rylan petting the baby goat.
Ethan "poking" the baby chick.
As we left the petting zoo they were giving everyone a Mayfield chocolate milk. This was Ethan's first chocolate milk and he LOVED IT!!!! Beware mom's who've not yet given their kids chocolate milk, I now hear at least once a day "chocat milk mommy".
Here's Ethan and I on the merry-go-round. Jeremy was using his photography skills and caught us on the move. He got us in focus and the background blurry. It's a little dark, but I thought it was a cool picture.
We had a great time at the fair and look forward to going back next year.

Ethan is looking more grown up! Miles was afraid of animals and all petting zoos at Ethan's age. It looks like you guys had fun. Miss you!
