Life as we know it

As we continue in the house building business, we have a few pictures to share of our progress. A few weekends ago, Jeremy, his dad (Ron), his brother (Bryan) and our friend Josh installed the windows in our new house. After that, our siding guys came and got most of the siding done. One window was missing from our order so we're waiting on that to come in so we can put it in and then the siding can get finished. Shortly, we'll be ready to paint the outside...that is...after we decide on a color. We'll also have the brick guys come out soon. As you look at the pictures, we'll be doing brick columns under the porch and brick along the bottom of the house under that piece of 1x10 trim. Here's a look with the windows in and most of the siding done. That's not the front door we'll be using, just a temporary so that our real one doesn't get messed up in the process. Here's one quick shot from the inside. I was hoping to get a room by room and walk you through it, but the septic guy drove up right as I started snapping pictures. More from the inside to come...In all of the craziness of building this house...our lives do go on. Jeremy has started back to school and as he was getting his bag ready for the first day, Ethan decided to pull out his backpack and wear it while Jeremy had his out. Had to capture a picture of this!We had some visitors from Newnan. Our friends Donald, Amanda and Emily came for the afternoon to hang out. Ethan and Emily had lots of fun playing. They had a few "stare off's" but warmed up to each other quite well and before the day was over, they were sharing toys and looking at books together.Ethan's cousin Kalleigh came to hang out while their daddies installed windows in our house.Ethan had so much to say to Kalleigh about how to use his exersaucer. He wanted to make sure she was doing it all just right.Ethan was my helper the other day as we made a dessert. Of course he got clean up duty, the best part! This is Ethan's new interest...the computer! I found some games for toddlers to play on the computer. If you are interested, check out Ethan's links on our blog to get the sights. Let me warn you, now that Ethan know's how to play on the computer a little, he thinks that every time it's on and one of us are in here that he can just get on and start pressing keys. Even though that drives me crazy at times, it is lots of fun watching him as he figures things out on the computer.

Until next time...

What a beautiful house. I can't wait to see the finished product. How do ya'll know all about building a house?? We made need some tips in the next year or so. Hey did you know your friend Donald used to be friends with my sister? They went to high school together. Next time you talk to him ask him about Ginger Robertson. Small world!

Hey guys,
The house looks great! We continue to ask forgiveness for our struggle with jealousy.
Oh man, are we envious of you guys. Especially since we will call Seminary Housing "home" for the next several years.

Actually, we couldn't be more excited for your sweet family. We cannot wait to see the finished product.

Ethan is the cutest thing. We love watching him grow up on your blog.

Maybe we can visit with you guys before the big move. Anyone up for a day at Stone Mountain??

We love you guys!
